Jacquelynn Buck is an award-winning national portrait and wedding photographer who loves her home-based boutique studio in Tucson, Arizona. At home or on location, Jacquelynn’s vibrant portrait images are often characterized by a mix of strong technical composition and candid story-telling, exquisitely and professionally lit against fabulous scenery. She is a master of light, including found light, created light, and off camera light. Her portrait lighting kit includes 3 Profoto B1 500 Airs, one of which she always brings with her on location.
A sought after instructor, she has taught boudoir and portrait photography at WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s International) Conference for 6 years, as well as at Digiforum Prague in 2011. She also teaches portrait workshops across the country and mentors new photographers one on one as well, in person or via skype for out of town clients.
While portrait and wedding photography are her business and passion, her first love was travel and street photography. She learned to photograph on a film camera, using slide film, and traveling across the US and Europe, photographing everything and anything. Now strictly digital, she shoots with a Nikon D810 and a myriad of lenses, as well as always having her iPhone in hand. She also carries her Fuji mirroless camera with her for more intimate travel moments. Her most recent travels have taken her to Japan and China and she is SO excited for the beauty of Bali next!
When not photographing, Jacquelynn is out looking for fresh roasted coffee (#darkroastbaby), new restaurants (#foodie), fabulous wine (#softpinotnoirs), rooftop bars (#viewfromthetop) and opportunities to travel to far off places (#takemethere).
